German choreographer Patrick de Bana is behind The Rite of Spring but this is only one of a feast of attractions.
'The festival will include guest performances from the Moscow Academic Musical Theatre of Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko, the touring modern dance company Complexions Contemporary Ballet (USA), one of the best dance performances 'Ingrengwo' presented by the dance troupe Renegade (Germany), and the performances of the ballet troupe of the Siberian Colosseum, including several premieres,' said a spokesman for the Novosibirsk State Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre.
A main focus will be modern choreography, new interpretations of the classics as well as the most unexpected mix of contemporary and break-dance.

Among the surprises is the final chord of the festival, Igor Stravinsky's ballet 'The Rite of Spring' which this year is celebrating the centenary of its premiere.
Already the festival has touched the hearts of those who have never previously experienced ballet.
'I always wanted to see the ballet, and when the troupe from New York arrived, I realised - it's time', said Eduard, a 27 year old lawyer.
Complexions is America's first truly multi-cultural ballet company.
