The 15th INNOVUS forum opens over two days with 50 events aimed at discussing Russia's Innovative Development Strategy until 2020.

It brings together big players from the raw materials sector of the economy with representatives of universities, innovation clusters, technological platforms and special economic zones.
The forum will focus on innovation development in new technologies, industries and markets; innovation development in new competences providing technological renewal of key economic sectors of Russia; innovation development in new financial instruments for implementation of investment projects and public private partnership projects in high technology and primary sectors of economy; and innovation development in new environment, legislative framework and change of the role of institutes.
Major energy players such as Rosatom, Gazprom, Rosneft, Sibur and Tatneft are due to participate. Venture capital fund issues will be considered with the presence of Gazprombank, VTB, Promsvyazbank, Sberbank, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, and the Eurasian Development Bank.
Among the eminent participants will be Israeli physicist and chemist Professor Dan Shechtman, Nobel Laureate in Chemistry for 2011; Somasundaram Subramanian, Director of the Eurasian Federation of Oncology, and Professor Marcos Pinotti, a leading Brazilian scientist and businessman, and Consultant of the Board of Assistive Technology in the Brazilian Presidential Office as well as associate professor of the Federal University of Minas Gerais.
The 15th jubilee Tomsk forum INNOVUS-2013 is held by the Tomsk Region administration and the Russian Academy of the Economy and Public Service to the President of the Russian Federation.
Attendees from 19 countries are expected, along with officials from the Russian government, members of the country's Federal Assembly, Federal executive power bodies, staff of the presidential plenipotentiary representative in the Siberian Federal District, governors of Russia's regions, top managers of big companies, and experts.
Gazprom is the forum's General Partner. The Tomsk Region administration and the Academy of the Economy and Public Service to the President of the RF are the forum's organisers, and Itar-Tass is the information partner.
