Thailand to open five destinations for vaccinated tourists from October

Bangkok and four Thai provinces will welcome vaccinates travellers without quarantine.

The plan was announced today by Deputy Spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Natapanu Nopakun.

‘Following the Phuket Sandbox and Samui Plus programs, which continue to operate and have already brought in more than 1.7 billion baht (more than $52 million), the government plans to open five destinations in the near future under the same scheme: Bangkok, and provinces Chonburi, Phutchaburi, Prachuap Kirikhan and Chiang Mai,’ he said.

‘The opening of these five destinations is planned for October 1, 2021’.
